Best access panel for attic HVAC filter changes?
My attic entry is through the hallway ceiling, but the filter slot is three feet away. Drilling random holes isn't cutting it. Need a clean, code-compliant way to reach it without ladders every month.

Ceiling panels have to handle flexing, so avoid thin plastic. This access panel uses a reinforced frame that spans joists—no sagging over time. I added a short dowel as a handle so I can pull it down from floor level. Installed with toggle bolts since it's overhead; took fifteen minutes. Now filter swaps are a two-minute job, and the hallway still looks like a normal ceiling.
