Hey folks, I checked my credit report, and it's saying I'm deceased! I can assure you; I'm very much alive and well.
This came to light when I was in the process of applying for a car loan. To my shock, the loan officer informed me that my credit report showed me as deceased. I couldn't fathom how this could happen.
Now, I'm stuck in this confusing mess trying to figure out how to fix it. Has anyone else been through a situation where their credit report wrongly declared them as deceased? How did you tackle this issue?
I've already talked to an attorney and it turns out it's not uncommon that credit report says consumer deceased.
Now, I'm seriously considering taking legal action against these credit agencies for such a ridiculous mistake. Is it worth pursuing? Any advice or stories you can share would be a massive help. Thanks for your insights!
